The site being highly contoured played the challenge of orienting the buildings in manner which will minimize cut and fill for low cost housing. Therefore the idea of urban streetscape was introduced between the parallel aligned buildings to help mitigate the slop is landscaped pedestrian ways rather than paved driveways. This would not only reduce the cost but would also allow for a vibrant, interesting and wide-ranging public space as a part of the master plan.

The parking was proposed along the periphery of the buildings so that the urban streets remain only for pedestrian movement. These spaces would serve as multi use community spaces and also keep the homes fronting on such urban streets pollution free due to no movement of vehicles.

We believe the idea of a master plan needs to start keeping the pedestrians and eco friendly transport methods at the highest precedence.
